Early Fall Greetings...

Early fall greetings to everyone! Sorry to imply the passing of summer but fall is my personal favorite time of year with the changing colors and chill of the morning air... It was a busy summer here at T3 with the unveiling of several new products, and the excitement surrounding our Grand Opening Give Aways. We had three lucky winners from across the country and had entries from Around the World; that was really exciting for me!!! Our winners are Natalie Slack from here in Rapid City, SD, Lisa Gordon, from Greenville, AL, and Kelly Bartley from West Melbourne, FL. My thanks to Hayley and Cheryl from Simpson's Printing for helping with our August drawing; Kelly Bartley's lucky number was chosen by Hayley. In our July drawing, Jackie from Global Market chose Lisa Gordon as our winner, and Jesse from Perfect Hanging Gallery chose Natalie as our June winner. Congratulations once again to all three WINNERS!! I look forward to continuing our drawings on some kind of an annual basis; stay tuned...

During the summer months, I've been spending considerable time on the creation of images for the T3 Tattoo art gallery. Currently, we have produced between 30 and 40 images as of the writing of this newsletter. I get my inspiration for the tattoo images from several sources; sometimes I just sit down and let things develop, some inspirations come from spending time outside drawing clouds, rocks or trees and then "morphing" them, or I take images from some of my completed prints and morph from those. Sometimes an image just comes to mind and I go and get pen and sketch pad (like with the "TREE" which is now available on our Earth Tone T-shirts. All of the images on our apparel are from the T3 Tattoo art gallery selection. For those interested, go to our T3 Facebook link at the bottom of our home page and navigate to the photo album section, and while you are there, please hit the "like" button if you are so inclined. We are also taking steps to integrate the full line of T3 tattoo art into the website.

Additionally, I am VERY excited to announce that T3 Abstracts will have a booth at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center's Holiday Craft show in November. This will be a 2-day event and we'll have our T3 products as well as some of Jessica Galbreth's Beautiful artwork. T3 Abstracts and Crafts is very proud to be a stocking dealer for some of Jessica's work! And lastly, thanks again to all of our customers and supporters for making our summer very successful, fun and exciting!! I met lots of AWESOME new people!

Have a GREAT upcoming Fall Season :)) Many Blessings,
Tom Odeen

T2

Note: Because of the size of the original, this representation of T2 is not complete. In other words, it was too large for my scanner face plate preventing full representation. The prints available here in Rapid City and those that will be available on our web site are professionally completed representations. We have Framed and Laminated which provide the best color enhancement and depth, as well as prints on foam backing... We also have several prototypes of tattoo art that will be available for screen printing and embroidery...

Color in the drawing: As with the drawing I did on my bedroom wall when I was a teenager (see website: http://www.t3abstracts.com/Under-Construction.aspx ), my choice of black and white was something that just happened. In production pieces T7 and T8, I have used more color at the request of several friends.

Images: The images you see, for the most part just happen to show up. Its actually pretty cool not having a clue what is coming when I sit down to draw. I just flow with my emotions and wait to see the results. People ask me what inspired a certain image and I have to tell them "I'm just the Scribe." Some of the exceptions to this are when I put a book in a creature's hand or make a star, or as you can see, the swing-set on the tree. There are definitely times when I sit back and just stare at the drawings. On several occasions, people have pointed things out to me that I did not even notice. I liken it to looking for images in the clouds or on wood grain; both being something I have done naturally for many, many years...
